The Madness of Markets - A "One-Twenty" segment covering stock charts demonstrating how crazy the markets can be

I have used my money site, One-Twenty, as messages on the markets in hopes they might help anyone. Through most of that work over the years I have avoided saying too much about individual stocks. I never wanted to get into the forecasting game and acting as if I had any idea what madness the markets might serve up next at the individual stock level. I also did not want to seem as if I was recommending the buy or sell of any stock. But with time, such stock chatter has become unavoidable to make various points. I also just find the drama of individual stocks so fascinating.

I also find that the madness of individual stocks can teach us many good lessons...and hopefully lessons to make a little more money! While I still cannot advise you to buy or sell anything, I can use this space to release all my thoughts. So, if you read this segment of One-Twenty, you will see an energetic writer keep a journal of his observations and sometimes real stock trades. I imagine I will enjoy going back to periodically review what I was thinking about a particular stock. You know what I am talking about - a stock has doubled or has sold off by 50% over an extended period of time, printing a CLEAR trend, and you wonder how in the world did you miss that OBVIOUS move?

Finally, you will notice that I sometimes resort to using the jargon of technical analysis and other related mumbo jumbo. I apologize ahed of time, but I cannot help it. Hopefully, for those of you not schooled in this stuff, you can still read around the market esoterics to see the market madness. If you are interested, there are MANY resources on the web to help you in your edumacation. For now, I will recommend you check out Trader Mike's blog madness. For example, he provides a nice primer on the 200DMA, one of my favorite technical indicators.

Until the next time, watch the madness, and be careful out there!
